Ghost 2 Immobiliser Problems

Stop/Start
Ghost immobilisers prevent vehicles from being stolen by preventing the engine from running until it has received the correct PIN code. This is done with no modifications to the vehicle, and is totally undetectable to thieves. The unit connects directly to the ECU through the CAN databus to immobilise the vehicle. This is the same system that used by car manufacturers for a long time. However, thieves cannot bypass it with a new key, or key relay technology, as they could with factory fitted systems.
Ghost is compatible with any vehicle with an engine, including motorhomes, cars, vans and caravans, as well as bikes. The same system is compatible with electric cars. It is an excellent alternative to wheel clamps and steering wheel locks.
If the Ghost is activated it will block all buttons in your car and prevent the ignition from being started without a PIN number. This can be accomplished using the Android or Apple mobile app or by manually entering the code via your key fob. If the wrong code is entered the app will show an indicator light and the Ghost will not allow the vehicle to start again. This is a great method to deter thieves. If the vehicle is unable to be started the thieves will be able to move on.
The Ghost is a small weatherproof device that can be concealed in the most difficult to access areas of your car. Installation takes between 20-30 minutes for each vehicle. It is also very simple to remove if you decide to move your vehicle around or return it for valet parking or service. It is a TASSA (Tracking and Aftermarket Security Systems Association) insurance-approved system, which is recognized by certain insurance companies. It also features a secure emergency Pin Code Override, and the Service/Valet feature that can be activated by pressing a button within the app or by using your key fob.
Disarm
Contrary to the mechanical devices, which can be removed and reinstalled, ghost immobilisers are concealed and are integrated into the car. They are near impossible to hack or bypass and, even if they are discovered, thieves cannot start the engine. Ghost immobilisers are capable of preventing key cloning and signal jamming and devices spoofing. These are techniques thieves use to gain access into vehicles equipped with standard immobilisers.
An immobiliser works by sending an electronic code to the ECU (electronic control unit). If the wrong code is received the vehicle will not be started because the engine will not start up. While it is possible to disable the ghost immobiliser using a software tool this is very time-consuming and difficult. Only an authorized installer is able to install and use the software.
The Ghost immobiliser, a small device, is hidden within the wiring loom of your vehicle. It is not visible to the naked eye once installed. car ghost immobiliser is not visible on diagnostic systems. There are no LED indicators and it does not communicate with the engine via the OBD port. It communicates in silence through the CAN data loop.
The system will not allow the vehicle to start unless it is provided with an input PIN number that is specified by the user. The code is entered by pressing buttons on the steering wheel or door panels, or centre console. This is a safer way to safeguard your car as it does not require a key fob or remote control.
In addition, Ghost has a service mode which can be activated using the application on your mobile phone. This allows you to give your keys to someone for valet parking or servicing without having to enter the disarm sequence.

Anti-Hijack
Ghost Immobiliser 2 has a highly effective anti-hijack function. This is a sophisticated key that guards your car from thieves. The Ghost system will automatically turn on the hazard light and stop the engine when the ignition is on and the vehicle is in a stationary position. This allows the driver or passenger time to press a secret security button (depending on the vehicle) before the system reactivates and the engine is once again allowed to begin.
Unlike many competitor systems that simply stop the engine whenever the ignition is switched on The Ghost system has a unique controller and timer unit that will close the valve that cuts off fuel when it is activated after a set period of time, even in the event that the ignition is switched on! This delay period must be sufficient to allow the owner of the vehicle to get away, and be a sufficient distance from the car that it is stuck before the system can be activated.
In addition to the standard CANbus immobiliser blocking features of the Ghost system, it also comes with an extra security feature that blocks common hacking methods that are used to hack into modern vehicles, such as relay attacks key range extending, key range hacking and ECU swapping. This is because the Ghost system is completely silent and doesn't emit any signals that can be detected by thieves using RF scanning or code grabbing technology.
The Ghost system has a service / valet mode which allows your vehicle to temporarily be started and driven, without the need for PIN code. This is a great option if you park your car and only need to leave it briefly in order to open the garage door or put groceries in the boot. The system will exit the service mode based upon speed and time, or via an easy PIN code input process. This gives you total assurance that only you are able to drive your vehicle!
